enum

Connect to a server and enumerate everything it exposes — tools, prompts, resources and resource templates — in clean tables, alongside a server-info panel (name, version, protocol, advertised capabilities).

mcpwn enum <target> [--only all|tools|prompts|resources|templates]

Examples

# Everything, over HTTP
mcpwn enum http://127.0.0.1:8765/mcp/

# Over stdio — mcpwn launches the server as a subprocess
mcpwn enum "python examples/vuln_server.py"

# Only one category
mcpwn enum http://host/mcp/ --only tools

Options

Option Default Meaning
--only all Restrict output to tools, prompts, resources or templates.

Plus all global options.

Output

The footer summary counts what was found, for example:

✓ 2 tools · 1 prompts · 1 resources · 1 templates

Missing categories are tolerated

If a server does not implement a capability (say it has no prompts), that listing simply comes back empty rather than failing the whole command — handy against partial or non-compliant servers.
